Expiry Matters is a project I started with my longtime friend and partner in experimental ventures, Liliana Saldanha. We aimed to look into new ways to contribute toward a new vision of the world that we think is possible. In the process, we felt the need to observe other views and perspectives of life on earth, to listen to different voices, and that’s why we’ve created the Expiry Matters podcast, a place where we can imagine a better future together.
We planned to transform the Montoito inactive train station in Alentejo, Portugal, into a space to learn, create and collaborate on ground-up solutions for a positive planet. A physical and digital community, with an in-residence space for creatives, researchers, educational institutions, corporations and change-makers. A space that would also enhance experiences with nature and the local communities. All of this, while growing a forest and a legacy of regeneration.
